AIAA Guide for the Verification and Validation of Computational Fluid Dynamics Simulations (G-077-1998e) (2002)

This guide provides a means for assessing the credibility of modeling and simulation in computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The two main principles necessary for assessing credibility are verification and validation. This document defines key terms, discusses fundamental concepts, and specifies general procedures for conducting verification and validation of CFD simulations. This terminology and methodology may also be useful in other engineering and science disciplines. Reaffirmed in 2002.
